Report on the Inter-club mixed matches for 2017

The mixed matches this year were friendly and most

enjoyable. Thank you to all those who entered. I am not

alone in saying that we have met some lovely golfers, had
many exciting matches, and played at some great courses. All

the post-match meals at Rowlands were complimented by us

and our visitors; I would like to thank Kevin and his team who
all work so hard to make it happen.

There was a total of 40 pairs that played in 12 matches. We

won 3 matches, halved 4 and lost 4 with the match at
Blackmoor being cancelled owing to problems at their

clubhouse.

I would like to thank Janet and Steve Doel, Chris and Phil Link
and Sue and Jim Thatcher for their great support, between

them they played 19 matches.

The mixed match 'end of season bash' was held on Sunday
29th October. It was very well supported with 24 couples

enjoying a bright and sunny golfing day followed by an

excellent carvery and prize giving.

Nearest the pin were Jan Ostrom and Marcus Wilson

In 3rd place on count back from Jan and Mark Ostrom were

Sophie Parnell and Mike Potts with 36 points.

In 2nd place Chris and Phil Link with 38 points

The winners were Jane and Jay Lauden with 40 points.
