IS IT TRUE THAT ONLY IN THE GLASS CONTAINER SHOULD BE
PLACED WITH GLASS AND NEVER WITH DISHES, PORCELAIN,
ETC.?
ģ YES, IT'S TRUE. You should only put packaging glass.
WHAT SHOULD I PUT?
ģ Only glass bottles of drinks and oil, bottles, jars and jars of
jams and preserves, bottles of perfumes and cosmetics should
be placed in the green eco point.
WHAT SHOULD I NOT PUT?
Ĵ Plates or ceramic tableware, glass plates, jars, cups, crystal,
glasses, window glasses, glass, mirrors, lamp bulbs and
building materials.
WHY? WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES?
͍ Because they are contaminants. That is, they are different materials that prevent glass from
being recycled. ͍ Not all glass objects have the same composition as ordinary glass containers. ͍
For example, crystal, window glasses, pyrexes or mirrors, because they are composed of different
materials that do not melt at the same temperature.
͍ Thus, if they are mixed, the new raw material that results can originate in defective glass objects
and ruin all the other recycled glass.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH PERFUME BOTTLES?
ģ As long as they are empty, the perfume bottles can and should be placed in the green eco point.
If you have a built-in vaporization mechanism that can be removed, do so. If not, put as it is.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THOSE MATERIALS THAT CANNOT BE PUT INTO THE GLASS
CONTAINER?
ģ You should put them in the common/undifferentiated trash. In most places, undifferentiated
garbage collects food scraps and all other materials that are not recyclable packaging. This is
where you must put together these glasses that are not recyclable.
