Sheriff’s Office and Police Departments often have their own IT staff, separate from the city or county.
These folks may or may not be sworn, depending on the agency. They often participate in the selection
process as the technical buyers and are often the main contact for prospecting calls. They’re good
resources to find out who the agency is currently using and if they’ve heard of plans to look.
