PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
The members of this team each experienced times when the lack of a centralized
list of acronyms caused frustration and confusion - either for themselves or for co-
workers. Spurred by the motivation to keep improving the new employee on-
boarding process, the team took on the objective and goals of this project with the
mentality, "This needs to be done and we WILL get it done."

Competencies demonstrated:
Organizational agility - knowing where to look, who to talk to to uncover lists of
acronyms and define them, as well
Creativity - generating ideas to find a viable way to not only gather all these terms,
but to also find a way to keep the list updated and accurate

GOJO ways of working: Teaming, collaboration, asking "how might we?" when
faced with the daunting task of collecting and defining over 1,000 acronyms and
terms

The work of this team will aid new and existing employees in understanding key
terms and acronyms, enabling new employees to assimilate more quickly and
become productive.

Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.

This team collaborated to identify how to gather terms, to define them, and to create
a process for keeping them up-to-date. This team worked well together, leveraging
members' strengths and experience to find solutions.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
- All Enterprise acronym lists were identified and consolidated
- A process was created for anyone in the Enterprise to submit new or revised
acronyms and terms
- The team worked with IT to create a new portal that will be accessible on
myGOJO - an easily searchable list of over 1,087 acronyms and terms, at last count
