GLOBAL ETIQUETTE COMPENDIUM
I would like you to imagine how you might move in
a way that conveys STRIVE FOR PERFECTION.
ACTIVITY:
Play appropriate sound track e.g. “Dance of the
Knights” from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev.
Or choose different music that has a similar pace
and “state”.
Ask people to walk around the room to this music
– remembering their posture. Head up, shoulders
back, eyes looking out etc.
Keep going for about a minute or so.
Then ask them to continue moving but look around,
how are their colleagues moving, what positives do
they notice?
DEBRIEF:
Movement when it comes to STRIVE FOR
PERFECTION is deliberate, often not too fast
(with some pace and poise).
It conveys confidence but not arrogance.
Eyes wide open and heads up mean that guests will
also feel they can easily get our attention.
It is easier for us to smile because our heads are up.
