           2.   Served as founding Chairperson of the Damara Raad, which provided
               a unified platform for the Damara people to unite and work with other
               Namibians from different backgrounds for the liberation of Namibia.   Honoris Causa


           3.   Gaob ǁGaroëb ensured that the flames of the sacred fire of the ancestors
               keeps burning through the ancient Annual  Traditional  Festival of the
               ǂNûkhoen (better known as Gaob Fees) since 1976.


           4.   He spearheaded the building of the Gaobs’ monuments.  This is the
               burial site for the ǂNûkhoen Gaobs, royal wives and heroes.

           5.   As an elected Senior Headman of the Khorixas location, Gaob Justus
               ǁGaroëb is credited for engineering the Damara Raad’s opposition to
               colonial plans, such the Turnhalle Conference of 1975 and 1977, and
               1983 Multiparty Conference and Transitional Government of National
               Unity.


           6.   Gaob ǁGaroëb opposed Bantu education to the extent that he took a
               delegation of Damara Raad leaders to Pretoria to engage Prime Minister
               Voster.


           7.   He was a Senior  Advisor to Gaob Dawid  Goreseb and later he
               complimented Klemens Kapuoo to write and send petitions to the United
               Nations, on behalf of the Gaob Goreseb.



           8.    In  1976,  Gaob  Justus  ǁGaroëb  travelled  to  New York  to  attend  and
               petition at UN General Assembly as part of the SWAPO delegation.

           9.   He opposed South African colonial Turnhalle Conference of 1977.


           10.  Gaob Justus ǁGaroëb transformed the Damara Raad from being a tribal
               Council to a political entity with strong nationalist aspirations.


           11.  He opposed participation at the Multi-Party Conference and Transitional
               Government of National Unity.
