adhere to all business ethics and values.
7.1.5 Improve financial management
The University will improve financial management by maintaining healthy finances,
streamlining processes through the introduction of cost-saving measures wherever
necessary, and ensuring achievement of on-time and unqualified financial
statements. To this end, UNAM will follow accepted financial administrative and
management best practices that will enable the institution to function within
budgetary constraints and ensure financing of critical operations, projects and
programmes.
7.1.6 Improve and strengthen ICT governance
ICT governance is a framework which ensures that the IT resources of an organization
are used in an effective way to full-fill stakeholder needs. Effective ICT governance
has a substantial impact on business alignment and risk management. Misalignment
can result in improper identification of sensitive data, critical services and
substandard security controls.
ICT governance extends the strategy throughout the organization and directs ICT
processes to ensure that technology aligns with objectives. Subsequently, the
Governance of Enterprise Information Technology will enable UNAM to take
advantage of opportunities and maximize the return on ICT investments.
7.2 Higher Education Graduate Employability
Higher education alumnae have developed the capacity to obtain and / or create
work. Furthermore, employability means that universities and employers have
supported the students’ knowledge, skills, attributes, reflective disposition and identify
what graduates need to succeed in the workforce. In this regard, higher education
graduate employability implies “a set of achievements, skills, understandings and
personal attributes that makes graduates more likely to gain employment and be
successful in their chosen occupations which benefits themselves, the workforce, the
community and the economy” (COL.2: 2016).
