space. Finally, it is concerned with property registration, statutory processes, enrolment
planning, base mapping and campus layout design, draughting of plans and advising
on strategic land matters.
Globally, graduates of higher education institutions should have intercultural skills to
be able to interact and compete internationally. UNAM incorporates intercultural and
international dimensions into its curriculum and extracurricular activities to help
students to develop international and intercultural skills. UNAM will use its brand,
competencies, resources and innovative abilities to attract international investment
and involvement which will benefit UNAM’s human capital, financial resources and
infrastructure development. Through international collaborations and partnerships,
UNAM will enhance global awareness of staff and students, thus enhancing its
educational systems, research and innovation. We strive to use research, information
and innovation activities to create international investment opportunities.
The expected strategic outcome of this theme is a university which has a timeous and
responsive institutional planning system that provides evidence for decision-making.
This outcome includes improved international networking, and communication that
attracts international investment in order to achieve the objectives, ideals and
aspirations set for the institution, including its ranking profile. This theme has the
following three strategic objectives.
7.5.1 Improve institutional planning and compliance
Academic and administration planning is a key aspect that will ensure the continuous
and sustainable operation of the University. The institutional plan espouses strategies
and desired outcomes for the institution at divisional levels, along with progress review
practices and changes in management policies. It includes establishing an efficient
resource utilisation plan that will guide programme development processes, space
allocation and capital project development. This is one of the initiatives that the
University is committed to improving and integrating academic and administrative
planning.
Compliance is an act of adhering with national laws, regulations, industry standards
and best practices. The University strives to be a good corporate citizen which
