Conclusion: It is argued that the academic program of the teacher
education should be coupled with a robust and integral component
called school-based experiences i.e., practicum which provides
students with supervised experiences and help the student teachers to
understand the full scope of teachers’ role.

            6. Haihambo C. K., Inclusivity of higher education institutions in
Namibia and the implications for students’ adaptation and success
Background: Namibia’s inclusive education policy ensures that all
learners are welcome in teaching and learning environments, and that
their needs are identified and addressed, irrespective of their physical,
mental, socio-cultural, or economic backgrounds. Although policies
and structures exist, sometimes administration, faculty and students
lack skills and competencies to identify and timeously respond to the
            needs of students.
Aim: The study explores the impact of the inclusive education culture
and structures of higher education institutions on the students’
adaptation and success. Further, this study identifies good practices
that could be emulated and outlined the practices that has a negative
impact on the students’ adaptation in higher education and their
            participation to ensure success.
Methodology: The study used a mixed-methodology approach to
collect data. Probability sampling was used to identify and recruit
            students for participation.
Results: The results revealed that some institutions had no inclusive
education policies. As a result, students found it difficult to adapt
based on one-size-fits-all traditions that were in place in many of the
            surveyed institutions.
