pandemic in Nzinze Circuit, Kavango West region
Background: This study analyses the perception of parents with e-
learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in Nzinze circuit in the
Kavango West region. During COVID-19, in Namibia, schools
adopted online teaching and learning to maintain social distancing and
other public health interventions.

of using e-learning during COVID-19
Methodology: The study used a qualitative approach where two
hundred participants were interviewed using Focus Group Discussion
(FGD), and interview guides which were presented through content
analysis to analyse data.
Results: The findings show that parents were resistant to technology
for a variety of reasons. 80% of parents did not have skills to use
technology, while others had misconceptions of e-learning. Internet
connectivity was cited a problem.
Recommendations: The study recommends that parents should
establish a close working relationship with the school and create peer
groups with the assistance of the teachers.
