Corporate Branding
The directorate is responsible, through its policies
and guidelines, for visual brand management of
the institution, as well as customer brand experience. The directorate, through its Brand
Style Guide, also provides guidelines and direction on types and quality of signage on
entrances, buildings, cars, etc. There are clearly stipulated guidelines for all university
related signage in the university Brand Style Guide.
Image and Reputation Management
The directorate maintains the image and reputation of the institution as far as the
general public is concerned through media and other stakeholder interventions. One
way to achieve this goal is to monitor news on various platforms, e.g. newspapers, social
media and radio/TV. The university PRO plays a prominent role in this regard.
Production of Publications & Promotional Material
The directorate has a graphics section responsible for all university
publications, on all campuses. This is done in accordance with the
Brand Style Guide. All campuses, faculties, directorates and units are
expected to work through CEIRD to publish any material related to
the university. If it carries the university logo and/or colours, it should
be cleared with CEIRD.
