the Communications and Marketing directorate requires that all
advertisements be handed in, preferably electronically, and must
be sent directly to the Events & Advertising Coordinator ten (10)
working days prior to the placement date. No bookings should be
made to any media house by any other office/directorate/unit
within the University, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
All vacancy advert requests must be forwarded directly
to the Human Resources directorate in electronic format.
Advertisements for new courses and programmes must
be directed to the Registrar’s Office for verification with
Senate regulations and resolutions. The Registrar’s Office/
HR directorate will then forward such requests to C&M.
Each advertisement requires much needed processing
time for design and layout. Quotations must also be
obtained from the print media (where necessary) and
the Finance directorate requires five (5) working days to
process Purchase Orders (where applicable).
All print media (newspapers) require two (2) working
days prior to placement of adverts to receive the final signed off material and Purchase
Order by the Communications and Marketing directorate.
4) Procedures for Purchasing of Corporate Memorabilia
The University of Namibia’s Communications and Marketing directorate also houses a
Corporate Shop, which offers a range of corporate memorabilia. Campuses, faculties,
centres, directorates and units, as well as individuals who may wish to purchase
corporate items are welcome to contact the Events & Advertising Coordinator at the
Main Campus in Windhoek or alternatively visit any of our Communications & Marketing
Officers, at their respective campuses.
