About the Author

Joan A. Rostant is a counsellor, author, researcher, and

teacher. She began her career in banking, and after 17 years of

banking she completed a degree in Behavioural Sciences and

taught at the secondary school level. During that experience she

decided to complete an M.Ed with a focus in Guidance and

Counselling, and after working in the field, she completed a

PhD.

She is the 2019 Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy

Association’s award winner for training materials, which was
