ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT
The University Training Office shall perform both executive and staff functions
for the implementation of regular and special programs and projects designed to
provide a futuristic university-wide continuing training and development. The University
President shall appoint a qualified function Chairman and an adequate professional
staff for the institutionalization of the Office and its functions.
There shall be a Training committee in the University to approve training
proposals and oversee the implementation of the Training Policy and the respective
training plans/programs.
The Training and Development Committee Membership shall be comprised of
President, Vice Presidents, Deans and Heads of the different departments, Heads of
Human Resource Management Office and any member of staff can be co-opted where
necessary.
THE JOB DESCRIPTION OF THE CHAIRMAN
Under the direction of the President, the Chairman for the University Training
Office shall strategically administer the office. The Chairman shall collaborate and/
or coordinate with the various adminisitrative offices/colleges, and link with other
government, private and non-government entities; assure the effectiveness and
efficiency of the performance of its operations and ultimately facilitate the attainment
of the University goals and objectives. The Chairman shall occupy a position equivalent
to the rank of Deans and Heads.
In consideration of the global environment and future, specifically, the
Chairman shall:
1. Plan, implement, monitor, coordinate and evaluate training programs for
the University both for teaching and non-teaching employees.
