       Puttenahalli Lake Cleaning:

 With monsoons fast approaching, there is a lot of work needed
to make the lakes monsoon ready.

 One such lake is Puttenahalli Lake at JP Nagar. It took 2 days
and 50 volunteers from VMware to de-weed and help in
decomposing the waste collected from the lake.

 There was a lot of work needed: De-weeding, collecting the fall-
en leaves, mulching around the trees and putting to decompose
           the shed leaves etc.,

 The volunteers had a tough time cleaning themselves up after
the day’s hard work. Worth an effort!

 Lost and found and being restored since 2008, the lake is a
home to fish, ducks, birds, butterflies and many other creatures and also a natural way of rain
water harvesting. It’s amazing how one person’s vision can initiate a small change and with
time it can be so impactful.

Child Rights Awareness Drive: 23 Feb

 Child Rights Awareness Drive in collaboration with YFS – The
event was to educate and spread awareness among school
children from Kengeri aged between 14 to 15 years on Child
Rights, Perils of Child Abuse and Child Marriage.

 The main reason why this event takes a special place is the
increased crime rate against children around the world. While
there are laws and regulations on child rights and protection, it
is our social responsibility to take care of the children & to
protect their rights and spread the awareness in the society.
This event did live up to these expectations.
