Activity 10

Decide whether each statement below is true (T) or false (F) based on
the discussion of a journal article entitled “The Impact of Cooperative
Learning on Student Engagement: Results from an Intervention” above.
                1. The cooperative activity in the research does not successfully affect [T/F]
                     the students’ engagement.
                2. The changing of instructional method is not always resulted in the [T/F]

                     increasing deep and surface learning.

                3. Cooperative learning makes the students more active. [T/F]
                4. Cooperative learning hinders the emergence of new perspective. [T/F]

                5. The studies of cooperative learning do not give enough focus on [T/F]
                     ‘structures’.

                6. There is an assumption that students are likely to perceive of and [T/F]
respond to cooperative learning the same way.

                7. Implementing the ‘structures’ of cooperative learning is adequate for [T/F]
                     the class.

                8. The cooperative learning does not always develop the students’ [T/F]
                     knowledge.

                9. As long as the students’ cooperativeness is going well, the criteria of [T/F]
assessment is not an important aspect to be considered.

                10. The students’ attitudes toward cooperative learning are highly [T/F]
                     dependent on the tutor.

               7. The Conclusion

The conclusion of a journal article usually contains of three following
               elements as follow.

               a. The Summary of the Findings

The summary of the findings shows the main point of the research and
may also present the impact of the research in certain topic or area.

               b. The Limitation

The limitation deals with the aspects that may affect the result but were
missed or deliberately ignored due to certain consideration.
