PE & SPORT (G) P010 (TH) The Supervisor reported that a phone went off four times
between 2:52PM and 3:38PM during the examination. When
the Invigilator and assistant Supervisor asked the candidates in
the back row about the ringing, none responded in the
affirmative. However, when the Supervisor asked about it
later, the candidate handed the cell phone over. On the fourth
occasion, the phone rang in the Invigilator's hand.

Recommended Decision 7.1 Unauthorized material. Withhold result in the subject,
pending receipt of the candidate’s statement; if not received by
31 August 2017, cancel result in the subject.

PE & SPORT (G) P1 THEORY The Supervisor reported the candidate was 'not cooperating'
and exhibited 'unruly behaviour'. The principal was called and
took the candidate outside. The candidate was later seen
leaving the compound and reported he was dismissed by the
principal. When asked to return and complete his examination,
the candidate refused.

The principal's report confirmed the candidate was escorted off
the compound because of his disorderly conduct but was
recalled by the Supervisor.

Recommended Decision 8.1 Misconduct. Withhold result in the subject, pending receipt
of the candidate’s statement; if not received by 31 August 2017,
cancel result in the subject.

PE & SPORT (G) P010 (TH) The Supervisor reported that candidates were asked to empty
their pockets prior to entering the examination room.
However, while distribution the MC answer sheets, the
candidate's phone rang.

The candidate in her statement acknowledged having the
phone in the examination room and indicated it was
subsequently taken by the Invigilator. She added she was not
aware the phone was on but after the rules were read before
she could, "...notify the Invigilator the phone wrung". She
reported she panicked drawing the Invigilator's attention to
her.

Recommended Decision 7.1 Unauthorized material. Cancel result in the subject.
