Plan, organize, develop, and coordinate the Health Services Department's fiscal and administrative
functions.
Analyze and evaluate financial information, researching and gathering appropriate information to
resolve problems.
Perform a variety of complex administrative/accounting work with minimal guidance and
supervision.
Coordinate and assist with budget development and administration.
Prepare projections of department revenues and expenditures.
Compile statistical data in support of budget preparation activity.
Interpret and apply related federal and state laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
Monitor and update fiscal records.
Prepare a variety of financial reports and statements.
Gather, organize, analyze, and present a variety of information.
Use a computerized financial management and EMR system.
Operates and oversees the operation of automated office equipment and systems; directs the
development of a variety of reports;
Represents the Health Services Department with other County departments, government
organizations, advisory task forces, and the public, as delegated.
Perform a variety of complex administrative/accounting work with minimal guidance and
supervision.
Understand and apply regulatory, office practices, and procedural guidelines to a variety of
unrelated situations.
Effectively represent Health Services in contacts with other County staff, the public, and other
government agencies.
Regularly work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
Constantly demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients.
20% SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Oversees the development, maintenance, and tracking of the Health Services Department budget
and fiscal information;
Ensures proper maintenance of a variety of fiscal and budget control journals and records;
Provides supervision, work coordination, training and timely work performance evaluations for six
(6) assigned staff;
