I am applying for the position of Automated Services Bureau Manager for the City of Long Beach.

As my resume shows, I am an e​xperienced library technology leader with proven ability to drive change in a
variety of library settings. ​I have been involved in reorganizing staff around new technologies and services
over the years, and have emphasized training to improve work and customer service standards. I have
mentored staff and have significant experience in budgeting, contract negotiation, project management and
staff development.

I have a strong background in the technical side of libraries, but have also worked with City Councils, IT
departments, Library Boards, Friends groups, foundations and a variety of community groups to build
support for library programs and projects and solicit input for Library planning. I believe I bring a wide range
of skills to my work and feel I would be a good fit for your position.
