               General Questions
               1.  Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?


                 Don has been doing the financial analyst work for the last 13 years.  He sold his company in
                 2018 and is looking for his next challenge.


               2.  Please tell me about your current position and its day­to­day responsibilities.


                 Don was the President of his own accounting consulting firm.  He oversaw the personnel that ranged
                 from 20­35 people over the years.  He would work with clients on their financials and accounting if
                 they wanted to grow their company and help with whatever facet of the business they needed
                 assistance with.  He ran the gamut in the business world and accounting.


               3. What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
                 Power?

                 He has a degree in public administration, but isn't too familiar with the department.

               4.  What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
                 role?


                 Don has been keeping the books for not only his company, but many others simultaneously.  He stays
                 current on accounting practices by taking classes.  He has experience with capital investment and
                 project management.  He has asset management experience, and has worked with the public sector
                 in a consulting capacity.


               5.  The right candidate will be a long­term fit, how do you get the message across that you are
                 that candidate?

                 His experience dictates that he is the right fit and he is a team player even though he has owned his
                 own company.  His work ethic will also show the team how he fits in.


               6.  What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?


                 Problem solving.  He is cool under pressure and finds a solution.  He communicates clearly
                 and aids in problem solving.
