               General Questions
               1.  Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?


                 Tanya worked in a similar capacity in a previous role.  She use to work with the board of
                 directors and reporting for the grants they received.  She has previous experience in public
                 finance.


               2.  Please tell me about your current position and its day­to­day responsibilities.


                 Tanya handled employee benefits and the related billing.  She worked with financial services, but had
                 somewhat of an HR role.  It was unique because she reconciled the billing for the benefits.



               3.  What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
                 Power?


                 Tanya did some of her own research on the website.  She hadn't heard about it, but knows it
                 is a public facing position.


               Position Specific Questions

               4.  What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
                 role?


                 All of the experience she had from the RTA role is relatable to this role.  She received funding through
                 the Federal Highways program, monitored 638 contracts, and completed reporting related to those
                 funds.  She would do the billing and expense reports as well as the audit each year.  She performed
                 the clerical duties as well.  She handled the asset management for the heavy machinery and
                 documented the status of each vehicle.


               5.  The right candidate will be a long­term fit, how do you get the message across that you are
                 that candidate?

                 She is seeking long­term employment where she can grow her skillset and then grow into retirement
                 far down the road.


               6.  What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?


                 Tanya prioritizes her duties and takes pride in her communication.  She works well under
                 pressure and is self­motivated.
