               General Questions
               1. Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?

Joseph works in Virginia at the family business. His father decided earlier this year to shutter
the business and the company will be closed at the end of September.

               2. Please tell me about your current position and its daytoday responsibilities.

He spends his time doing everything from the financial management to jumping on the back of the
truck to assist with moves. He routes trucks from point A to point B. He is responsible for KPI's, A/P
and A/R, payroll and tax information. It is a company with about 30 employees and he is comfortable
                 in smaller scale companies.

               3. What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
                 Power?

He knows very little, but it's a chance to do something new in a smaller department with a
                 nice community.

               Position Specific Questions

               4. What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
                 role?

Joey assists the CPA with all issues and has learned a lot working sidebyside with them. He
processes payroll, performs the A/P and A/R, and has learned everything he is responsible for on the
fly. The business relies on Excel reporting to keep the company flowing. On a scale of 110, Joey puts
                 himself at an 8.

               5. The right candidate will be a longterm fit, how do you get the message across that you are
                 that candidate?

Joseph wants a small, tightknit community with everything Big Bear Lake has to offer. He is ready
for a new challenge and wants to embrace his next community. He has been with the family business
for the better part of 25 years and has the desire to do the same at his next role.

               6. What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?

Communication is his best tool. He speaks plainly and learned how to get the message
across while explaining finance to career oilmen in West Texas. He got their finances
straight and taught them forecasting and other basic financial tools and how to read them.
