General Questions
1. Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?
Jeff has enjoyed his time there thus far in a temporary capacity. He has really taken to the
role and enjoys the community and the work that he has been doing regarding cash flows.
2. Please tell me about your current position and its daytoday responsibilities.
Jeff has been doing a lot of journal entry and filing work with entrylevel work. He feels it is
important for his growth. He has also performed legal analysis and executive summaries. He is also
getting familiar with current software programs and the excel updates.
3. What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
Power?
Jeff has been in the position for nearly a month and understands the department very well.

4. What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
role?
Jeff studied accounting and began his career there. The majority of work he has performed for DWP
has been accounting. He is learning the system, but has the background and foundation to really
make a difference.
5. The right candidate will be a longterm fit, how do you get the message across that you are
that candidate?
Jeff has been sold on this as a longterm solution for him because of how well run the department is
and it is where he would like to remain. He is embracing the challenges and getting up to speed with
everything that the financial analyst will be responsible for. He enjoys the handson aspect and
would like to be the longterm solution.
6. What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?
Jeff feels that his maturity and experience are his greatest strengths. He understands the
importance of every role and how they connect.
