General Questions
1. Why are you interested in the Financial Analyst role?
Erin is interested because it is a combination of accounting and analysis. She is very heavily
experienced on her accounting side. She is excited about being in Big Bear Lake as she and
her husband have a house there.
2. Please tell me about your current position and its daytoday responsibilities.
Currently she is unemployed, but she was the director of operations at a corporation that owned
multiple entities and a couple DBA's. She was responsible for all accounting and bank reconciliations.
She also was in charge of audits and worked with the CEO on budgeting and asset reporting as well as
all operations.
3. What do you know about the City of Big Bear Lake and the Department of Water and
Power?
She knows about it from a customer standpoint, but she loves the community and has
owned a house there for many years.

4. What relevant accounting experience do you have that would allow you to succeed in this
role?
Erin has many of the skills that are highlighted within the job description. She has capital asset
accounting, contract review, A/R and A/P work, financial reporting, Excel, data analysis experience.
5. The right candidate will be a longterm fit, how do you get the message across that you are
that candidate?
She wants to move back to Big Bear Lake and was thrilled that this opportunity came up. This
position is her career dream. The combination of being able to live in Big Bear Lake and work in a
position she has wanted is why she is applying.
6. What do you consider to be your greatest professional strength?
She is efficient and takes on many projects with the purpose of making them more
streamlined.
