Removing the Stigma: - As I heard this word come out of several
people in a course of a few days. I was struggling how to identify the
root. See we may put up guards or have inner insecurities or even reflect
our own stereotypes on others we encounter. What is the root cause? In
relation to this devotional I believe the stigma is towards being weak,
vulnerable. We are taught to hold everything in, be tough, don’t let them
see you sweat. All along we are in need of a life line being thrown
toward us. Don’t let the fact that you have been wounded keep you from
taking your place in this world. Shine.
Isaiah 43:18-19 King James Version (KJV) Remember ye not the former things, neither consider
the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know
it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Prayer- Father help your child to forget the former things that have been there to stop them
from moving forward. As your word declares. “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall
be free indeed, John 8:36. I proclaim all stigma and word curses be removed from their spirit /
soul. I pray all the lies from their childhood be placed under the blood of Jesus to never be able
to negatively impact their lives.

Several years ago, the poem by Marianne Williamson Our Deepest Fear was given to
me when I sat in my physician’s office. I had a moment of realizing I had believed a
“Stigma” that I had heard since I was to two years old. It is what caused me to shrink
back and allowed fear to take over then I would stop trying to succeed. This poem I
quoted until it broke. A key verse reminded me I am a Child of God so why shouldn’t I
shine.
