Medicine joined us with less than one year of RN
experience. This data reflects our growing success
in attracting more experienced nurses than in
previous years, resulting in a healthy mix of skill <1 yr

     enhances patient care.

As the demand for advanced practice
professionals such as Nurse Practitioners (NPs) 1 yr+

talented nurses after they complete their NP 5+ yr
education. In the past, many nurses benefitted 34.9%
     from tuition reimbursement and educational
support while obtaining their NP credentials, but
ultimately left the organization to begin their NP
     careers elsewhere.

By expanding direct NP hiring, we optimize our
workforce, allow nurses to advance their careers
within Michigan Medicine, and continue to support
lifelong learning and professional growth among 1-4 yr
