Genevieve: I was red-faced enough with my head down. It’s

comprehensible that my boss was pissed, and I think at the end
I made a very good response and turned the table. I said to my

boss:’’ I do admit my mistake on this outcome, and I was very sorry.

I will work as hard as I can to fix the problem as fast as possible. I

totally own this responsibility, so I will well-communicate with our

customers afterwards and follow up all the marketing campaigns to
see that it's resolved, monitored and reported on activity. I believe

that we can discuss more and deeper when we are both calming

down.’’
我當時臉紅得根本抬不起頭，其實我不是不能理解老闆為什麼生氣，但最後我做的

回應扭轉了局勢。我對主管說：「我承認我確實犯了錯，很抱歉，我會盡快地解決

問題，且完全承擔責任。往後我將與客戶進行良好溝通，並事後密切注意所有行銷

Interviewer Victor: Wise. You didn’t give your angry boss an excuse

to be angrier.

你很聰明，沒有給憤怒的老闆藉口讓他更憤怒。

Ivy: To tell you the truth, I have never met any situation like

Genevieve’s case. However, my perspective on this is trying to

assess what might be causing your boss to yell in the first place.
Are you at fault? Or merely because of boss’s hot temper? Before

you approach your boss, come up with at least a couple of ideas

about how you could make things right, which will demonstrate
thoughtfulness and proactivity after yelling.

說實話，我從來沒有遇到像 Genevieve 一樣的情況。但我對此的看法是，先試圖評
