CALLING IN SICK OR LATE




        All staff at Cowch will appreciate the value they bring to the team and
        understand the importance of attending their rostered shifts at the
        rostered time. As a valuable member of the team, staff are expected to
        give 100% during work hours.


        At Cowch, we have a strong team philosophy- we all give our best to
        the benefit of the team.


        All staff are to arrive to work at least 10 minutes before the start
        of their shift. In the event that this is not possible, the following
        procedures must be followed.

        If a team member is so sick that they cannot fill their shift they
        must phone the store and speak to a manager, assistant manager or
        supervisor in person, to notify them. Outside store hours, a manager

        must be called on their after-hours number. A minimum of 24 hours
        notice must be given so that the shift may be filled.  A doctor’s
        certificate is required. A text message or email is not acceptable.

        If a team member is running late, a phone call or text message is
        essential.

        It is unacceptable to be consistently late for work as it demonstrates a
        lack of respect for team members who may have to work longer and/
        or harder to cover the shift until your arrival.


        Being consistently late to work will result in disciplinary action.
