WALK ‘N TALKS
At Cowch, we use Walk and Talks to communicate frequently and
effectively and to connect management with the team. Anyone can
request a Walk ‘n Talk with a member of the management team at
any time! A Walk ‘n Talk is an opportunity to get out of your venue
and take a 10 to 15 minute walk to communicate, seek feedback, give
feedback, congratulate, vent, collaborate, workshop ideas or simply
catch up.
• Walking stimulates oxygen flow around the body to increase your
brain function so you can be more creative and it also increases
your ability to solve problems more quickly.
• Being on the move allows the mind flexibility because you are
looking around as you walk. This stimulates the right side of the
brain and the visual sense gives a greater sense of perspective to a
situation being discussed.
• The more energy you use the more energy you have! A great way
to foster an energetic work environment.
• Walk and Talks are a great mentoring tool we can all use to learn
from one another; discussing things in detail leads to interesting,
creative and productive spin-offs.
• It ensures regular communication throughout all levels.
• Walk and Talks give team members an opportunity to ask questions
or raise concerns so that any issues can be resolved quickly and
effectively.
