Configuring the Area Alarm by Using the Front Panel
Chapter 1: Introduction
WARNING:
In operating systems, variations in pressure can cause disruption of
vital life support equipment. Do not vary pressures without the
appropriate medical facility personnel’s permission and knowledge.
Varying pressure can endanger patient welfare.
3. Before changing any pressure setpoints, notify the appropriate medical
facility personnel.
4. Configure A hi . This is the highest that the pressure can get without
alarming.
The Area Alarm Modules are factory-programmed to NFPA 99 standard values
and with the units of measure, either metric or English, that were specified by
the customer (see table 1-4 on page 1-30).
5. Configure A Lo . This is the lowest that the pressure can get without
alarming.
. This is the amount of time that the alarm stays silent.

The available options are as follows:
• No , audible alarm does not repeat.
• 30 , audible alarm repeats every 30 minutes.
• 60 , audible alarm repeats every 60 minutes.
• 90 , audible alarm repeats every 90 minutes.
• 120 , audible alarm repeats every 120 minutes.
NOTE:
To comply with the requirements of the City of New York Department of
Buildings; Materials and Equipment Acceptance Division (M.E.A.), do not set
the alarm return time to “never.” Set the alarm to return every 30 minutes.
