Error Codes and Troubleshooting Tips

Area Alarm

The error codes for the Area Alarm Modules are used to help identify and
solve problems with the facility’s gas system or the MedPlus TotalAlert™
Alarm Network (see table 2-1 on page 2-8).

Table 2-1. Area Alarm Module Error Codes

Error Code Error Description Possible Corrective Action
A 01 Transducer pressure below sensor range. Turn on the shutoff valves, or check
the source equipment. Go to RAP
2.1 on page 2-13.
A 02 Transducer pressure above sensor range. Check the source equipment, or
replace the transducer. Go to RAP
2.2 on page 2-13.
A 03 Transducer communication time out. Connect the transducer, or replace
the transducer. Go to RAP 2.3 on
page 2-14.

A 04 Area Alarm Module RAM error. Replace the Area Alarm Module.
Go to RAP 2.9 on page 2-18.

A 05 Area Alarm Module ROM error. Replace the Area Alarm Module.
Go to RAP 2.10 on page 2-19.

A 06 Transducer status fault. Replace the transducer. Go to RAP
2.4 on page 2-15.

A 07 Incorrect transducer connected to Area Install the correct gas-specific
Alarm Module. transducer. Go to RAP 2.5 on page
2-16.
A 08 Area Alarm Module programmed as Install the correct gas-specific Area
vacuum, but units are not inHg or Alarm Module. Go to RAP 2.8 on
mmHg. page 2-18.
A 09 Area Alarm Module programmed as Install the correct gas-specific Area
pressure, but are units not in PSI or kPa. Alarm Module. Go to RAP 2.8 on

A 10 Transducer is programmed as an invalid Install the correct gas-specific
