The year as it rolled by

It is always a great feeling to relax and reflect on memorable events and exciting time of the
gone by period. It is absolutely important for Diya to express its gratitude to all the students,
parents, teaching faculty and rest of the team Diya for making a safe and memorable last aca-
                                                                                    th
demic year. The year had plenty of positives, to begin with batch of 10 Std. students achieved
100% pass result and two students scoring perfect CGPA of 10. Despite all the unpleasant happen-
ings around town or nation Diya remained safe and incident free.

Diya enhanced its safety measures by way of extended coverage of premises with cameras, linking
two building with fiber link and providing greater visibility to admin personnel to monitor and man-
age movements which also includes the school buses. Both buildings had added security with in-
creased height of the corridor walls at the same time improving the aesthetics. Computer lab got
a new look and a relocated all new library added to the learning values and environment. All class-
rooms right from Montessori to Grade 10 were covered with digital learning equipment. Facility
including the playgrounds were spruced up to give the best of looks and functionality. Diya truly
extended its role as responsible environment friendly member with increasing its planting of
trees and shrubs and with addition of STP facility contributed to better waste water manage-
         ment.

Secular nations’ beliefs are best embodied in all students with Diya celebrating almost all festi-
vals as well as national events such as Independence day and Republic day. Annual day and sports
day with parental participation was a rousing success. The learning from the events will go long
way in instilling great values of brotherhood, respect for all, coexistence and sharing and caring
         for everyone.

Our students showed outstanding commitment, positive spirit and desire to excel when they par-
ticipated in various external events and even scored well. Young engineers program, a new initia-
tive Diya introduced last year for senior students (now this year will cover from std. 3-10) had
the best results to show by way of enthusiasm and practical learning. During our lovely summer
camp that covered many events, young engineers program was most enthusiastically received. We
introduced BBFS (football program) as after school program for interested students and coming
year we will add even cricket academy.

Opportunities are growing for students at Diya. Diya is growing and is a strong team of 900 stu-
dents and 100 faculty and admin people to greet and meet all that our parents expect.

Through new initiative “Coffee with Director” we are excited to have extended input from our
parents and opportunity to enhance our learning about our important team members.
It is indeed a very exciting time for Diya and all our team members cannot wait to get started on
next academic year with even bigger and better initiatives.

                                                                                              Mr. Naren Shah
                                                                                                     Chairman.
