RELLIK WINERY
Rellik Winery has at least four events a year for its wine club, some
seasonally specific, others when there’s a new vintage. All are celebrated
with food pairings. One wine club perk included a recent mix and
match case sale.
For Rellik Under the Stars, guests enjoy a meal outside. The winery has
abundant outdoor space, enabling them to accommodate the maximum
number of people allowed during Covid-19. They are also family and
dog friendly, so staff has seen children grow up over the years. They
know the fur babies by name, being at the ready with a treat. Shirleen
Grealish, Tasting Room Manager, says she recognizes cars as they arrive
in the parking area and has the individual’s favorite ready when they
come inside.
There is a bed and breakfast onsite, and wine club members have top
priority. Members also receive first preference for the event room,
which they often book for special events and holiday parties.
ROXYANN WINERY
Each wine club forms its own personality, and RoxyAnn Winery some-
times refers to itself as Cheers, because so many people come in to see
friends and visit with the staff. Many drop by multiple times a week,
finding it a safe and homey place. Crissie Olson, co-owner, says that
their wine club members become family to them, and if someone
doesn’t show for a while, the staff gets worried and checks up on them.
Many people become best friends there, with winery visits their main
social activity. Gifts are exchanged for birthdays and other occasions. A
while back, a gentleman shared some of his deceased wife’s treasures
for a staff member’s new home. They are a tight knit group, and because
the winery is a safe place, they’ve become even closer over the past few
months.
Club members of twelve-plus years are anticipating a legacy event,
Covid-style—a special barrel tasting for RoxyAnn’s 20th anniversary.
They will enjoy the first taste at this reveal with live music, food, and an
opportunity to visit with founder Jack Day.
Check out these wineries, and sign up for a wine club. You’ll be grateful
for the friendships you form, people to sit and sip with, people who
care—at your table, as well as behind the bar.
