2019 INTEL INDUSTRY-UNIVERSITY
CHALLENGE

Nurzuriana Zahri, Nik Ahmad Haiqal Ashraf, Khairi Azim Kamal
Ariffin, Afiq Mohd Rashdi and Zhafran Aiman Zulkarnain won
the grand prize in the 2019 Intel Industry-University Challenge
in Penang Island. Team INTEL-ligence: Nur Nabilah Husna, Ain
Nadia Alin, Faridhatul Aien, Nurul Ain Syafiqah and Nurfarah
Jaafar, first time participants, garnered consolation prizes
for making it to the semi-finals. The teams went through
a proposal elimination round, a technical workshop, and
a semi-final round where they had to demonstrate a fully
functioning Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence prototype
with this year’s theme of “Transportation”.

(Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons.), Underwater
Hockey), and Muhammad Faris Maznan (Bachelor of
Information Technology (Graphics and Multimedia)

TEST DESIGN COMPETITION 2019
(TDC 2019)

The Test Design Competition 2019 (TDC 2019) is the 5 th
edition of the competition which, for a given Test Object
in a (hypothetical) Real-world Test Environment, requires
participants to develop the best possible Test Architecture
and Design (for Open Category), respond to a ‘hybrid’
challenge which requires participants to partly complete
their assignment before and another assignment revealed
during the “over-the-weekend test challenge” (for University
Category), and held in conjunction with SOFTECAsia 2019,
TDC 2019 offers total cash prizes of RM32,000 for both
Open and University Categories.
