Eco Trolleys
This is a project that inspires new entrepreneurs to open and operate their own businesses, it’s a
project that will give hope to our people, it’s a project that makes sense and will create the much
needed jobs that we anticipated to create and expand the mobile private economic sector.
Fresh Standard launched officially and introduced the Eco Trolley© to Southern Africa in Lobatse,
Botswana, where we have identified Communities, Regional and National media outlets to assist in
the continental awareness program. The best marketing strategy is for the different Municipals
(Councils), Government and Funding houses to see the actual product which we will be taking into
Africa. Once these stakeholders saw how easy it is to operate the Eco Trolley and the variety of
business choices they would see the Return on Investment for the involvement of their respective
organisations where welcomed astronomically.
Relationship: Honourable Makgamamele and Barend (Benny) de Beer
My relationship started five years ago with Honourable Makgamamele Makgalemele who was the
Assistant minister for Health and Wellness and of Youth Development in Botswana. He is a highly
respected MP and has given his full support behind this initiative to create jobs and entrepreneurial
possibilities.
I was appointed as main consultant in Botswana for Youth Development and Job creation projects.
The Botswana factory is currently busy manufacturing about 1500+ units that will be distributed
across Botswana as per government order.
This initiative will create much needed jobs for our Youth, Poor People, Women and Individuals
selling their goods at bus and taxi ranks. Individuals can make an extra income by businesses
advertising their products and businesses on their trolleys.
Honourable Makgamamele launched his book at Botho University where Hon Makgamamele
recommended the Trolleys as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and presented by the
Cooperates to the disadvantage wishing to go into business for themselves.
My team and I travelled extensively across Botswana promoting and introducing the Eco Trolley to
most Councils in most towns and was accepted by all Honourable Makgamamele’s, mayors and all
other government officials. See list below.
Workshop
To date the project has established a fully equipped workshop in Lobatse, Vaalpark, Kimberley and
Gauteng, employed some local staff, secure a letter from the Office of the President in Botswana
approving and supporting the Eco Trolley as a tool to be used via the Poverty Eradication Fund.
It became necessary and after intensive research I decided to acquire another workshop in Selebi
Phikwe in October 2018. Here the mayor and his council accepted Fresh Standard with open
arms and immediately arranged Fresh Standard to meet with *SPEDU.
The economy of the town of Selebi Phikwe and its rural hinterland historically relied on copper/
nickel mining and smelting since the inception of the town in the early 1970s. With recent closings
and shut downs of the mines did unemployment rise to an all-time high. Hence the welcoming of
my company to alleviate the unemployment rate in this area.
