Compression/Distraction:
After the construct has been assembled, segmental
compression and distraction may be carried out using
the Compressor/Distractor.
Final Tightening:
The final tightening will consist of the Counter Torque
Wrench and T-Handle Torque Wrench Driver. Insert the
Counter Torque Wrench over the rod and screw head,
while the T-Handle Torque Wrench engages the set
screws. Rotate the T-Handle Torque Wrench Driver until
the limit driver produces an audible and tactile click
indicating final tightening is achieved. The torque limit is
set to click at 12 N-m (106in-lbs).
Extended Tab Removal:
After rods and set screws are in place, the extended
tabs can be removed from the screw heads. These are
removed by squeezing the top of the screw until the
bridge fractures at the top. After the bridge is
separated, insert the Tab Remover with one tab
engaged until the ball end engages the set screw. Rock
the tab back and forth until the tab separates. Repeat
this process for the second tab.
