“Head first is not the right way, but just the shoulders and hips, the way we were taught when we
were young.
“If both players are going at it with shoulders and hips, there’s not going to be a problem. I naturally
did it. It was the way I was taught when I was growing up.
“You protected yourself but you were going in hard at the same time without being tentative and
with the right parts of your body. ”Napoli wants young players to learn all parts of the game,
including the use of side bumps with hips and shoulders.
“We’re not seeing it anymore, “he said.
“We’re seeing heads and it’s not good.
“I want to stress Aussie Rules is still the greatest of all games.
“If I could get out of my wheelchair now I’d be playing a game of footy tomorrow, no two ways
about it.
“I grew up with footy, first when I was five at school and then my first senior game was at 14 in the
same side as my dad.” And that flag with Waratahs a dozen years ago?
“It’s one of my greatest memories and I’ve been coming back here ever since, ”Napoli said. “They’re
still my great mates, the Tahs people.
“I catch up with many of them as often as I can.
“I bought my Darwin apartment about eight years ago now.
“I had to do it for my health because of the cold in Melbourne. Up here I’m always active and doing
something in a great climate.”

Despite being shattered by a tragic accident happened on the football field, Parkside continued to
play impressive football. The club found the strength to stay a remarkably discipline and focused on
their core mission.
Parkside, played again an excellent football crushing Tigers by 126 points.

The 1996 Herb Pascarl Medallist kicked five goals as the high-flying Magpies annihilated Yarraville by
126 points at the Merv Hughes Oval in Footscray on Saturday. It was Browne-Kerr's first full game for
nearly two months.
