Parkside Football Club 1897/2017
and most of all thank you to the three or four people, David Campbell, Brian Wilson, Brain Skinner
and especially Peter Clarke for the huge effort you put in this year. Unfortunately five people don't
make a committee or for that matter a club, therefore I say good-bye.
I'm stepping down a life member, a past player and a devoted committee person hoping that the
next committee get the support required to keep the Parkside Football Club viable. It is my wish that
all the players and supporters give the club their full support.
Thank-you.

Football Manager's Report
First and foremost, I would like to congratulate all members of the senior and junior teams who put
on such a great show on the field. Congratulations must go to Phil & Kerry who brought home senior
premiership's for the men's & women's first's.
When I read this title at the top of the page I laugh, because this was the position that the Parkside
Football Club employed me. However, what I have had to do this year was nothing like I had
envisaged or what I had prepared for.
It started off with Don asking me to pay some bills for the club whilst he organized a treasurer, what
followed was an absolute nightmare. Don approached me towards the end of April asking me if I
would be able to look after the finances, paying the bills, putting money in the bank. I was happy to
help until he could find a full time treasurer, but as we all know this never occurred.
I believe it would be hard enough to be a treasurer of a club this size without the added extra's I
encountered throughout the year. For starters No financial records from the previous year, No
Financial Plan or Budget for the year, New players attracting larger pay.
I find it hard to believe that after the club barely scraped through 1999, only staying ahead due to a
tragedy to Ross Napoli and a subsequent successful auction, that the club would look to spend more
the following year.
The financial report that I have prepared has been done to the best of my ability with it being as true
and correct as I can know. A distinct lack of receipts for payments has made my job even harder with
a lot of things being paid in cash therefor leaving no paper trail for me to follow, never the less, I
have prepared it any way. The report has not yet been audited and for this I apologise to all
members but I have only received some of the information required in the last couple of days. I will
endeavour to have it audited as soon as possible after the AGM.
When Andrew Rainone resigned as administrator, it was me again who copped the brunt of the
workload. This again was a difficult task as there is only so much time in a day.
