After 30 years in corporate recreation, this
is what we have seen and heard:

In the past few years, we have seen an

increasing number of requests for small
group functions, those of 10-25 people. The
number one problem today is that managers
are told to “team build” but lack the skills or

resources to implement the plans within the
department of functional team. In addition,
        constantly changing employees, managers,

        business goals, and overall economic
pressures have eroded the unity of most
        teams.

Company leaders spend time creating a
united vision and direction, but often
underestimate the importance of creating a

united team of employees. Many times, team
building is sacrificed in the name of profit. As
a result, most organizations that are striving
for performance and profit, have forgotten

about the people are supposed to make it
happen. What companies do not realize is

employees will burn out, give up, or move on
        from most opportunities and relationships
when they no longer feel as if they have input
