Research: What is the Problem?
Summary: Work is not fun. Everyone is
stressed. Managers are over-stressed trying
to achieve quotas of increasing profit, while
being bombarded with unhappy employees
who are frustrated and resentful about being
downsized and devalued.
After spending most of their waking hours at
a tension-filled work place, people often look
to relationships at home for escape.
Unfortunately, the family and friends from
whom people seek comfort are often burned
out from the stresses of work as well.
People are seeking escape. They first turn to
their home life, and if they are not consoled,
they begin the search for a new job. People
want to work in a place they enjoy, a place
that is fun.
