abuse, violence and every evil thing. He
will not put up with this type of behavior
forever and a time of judgment will come.

Forgiving does not mean a person
should go back into a bad situation.
Especially, if that situation is a marriage
filled with abuse. God does not want His
children to be treated that way.
Marriage was meant to be a safe
haven, a place of refuge, not a place of
strife and competition. It was not meant
to be a place of sadness and heartache.
Abuse is rampant, but it is not God’s way.
God told us to love one another; be giv-
ing, be generous, be patient. God shows
us mercy. Let’s follow His example. Be a
representative of God’s way of love.
Forgiving does not mean there is not
a consequence to be paid. Either the law
of the land or God Himself will take care
of it. Instead, it takes the offending one
from our hands. It removes the weight
