Most of us know that there are laws in place to prevent discrimination for
employees. Did you know that same law protects applicants too? The law
forbids discrimination at every stage of employment including the interview
stage.
Under the laws enforced by EEOC, it is illegal to discriminate against an employee
OR applicant because of:
Race
Color
Religion
Sex (Including gender identity, sexual orientation and pregnancy)
National origin
Age (40 or older),
Disability
Genetic information
Keep RESPECT in mind with interview questions and candidate interaction.
