Are we okay or not okay? What do you know, and how do you know it?
NOTES: B. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CPS AND A MS PROJECT GANT
CHART?
Critical Path Schedule
The Critical Path Schedule is a useful tool that can lead you to achieve your
project results and help you in delivering the project on time. The Critical
Path Schedule will show the dependencies between all activities on your
project. If your project is running late, you need to know the critical path
since that is the only way to accelerate the timeline and get back on
schedule.
Project Gantt Chart
Gantt charts provide a graphical overview and schedule of all tasks or to
indicate the work elements and dependencies of project. The charts can
illustrate the start and finish project terminal elements in project
management. It can also show summary elements and terminal
dependencies.
Advantages
1. Monitors the progress of your project and helps in setting priorities
2. The project manager and the team members can easily see what needs
to be done at what time and if there are any delays the chart can easily
be altered to balance it
Disadvantage
Limited applicability for many projects, since projects are often more
complex than can be effectively communicated with this chart.
