( d ) MAKE YOUR BED DAILY AND KEEP YOUR
                               ROOM CLEAN AND TIDY.
Ask your Mother or Guardian to show you how to
make up your bed, putting on the sheets and tucking in
the end and sides. One way of keeping your room tidy is
to put away your things as soon as you have finished
                               with them.
For more action see the Home Help Badge.

        12.FAMILY LIFE

( a ) TELL AKELA ABOUT A FAVOURITE MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY AND WHY
               HE/SHE IS YOUR FAVOURITE.
( b ) RECOGNIZE YOUR PARENTS OR GUARDIANS ON SPECIAL DAYS.
( c ) DRAW A PICTURE OF YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
( d ) EXPLAIN TO AKELA WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DUTIES YOU CARRY OUT
AS A MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY.

You are a member of a family. There are adults in your family that take care
of you. They feed you, buy you clothes, send you to school, and teach you what
you need to know to grow up knowing right from wrong. Perhaps you may be the
youngest in the family but you are still an important part of the family. You live and
do things as a team, with each member doing his or her part. Remember your
Parents Birthdays and their Wedding Anniversary and give them a card. Don't
forget your Brother's and Sister's Birthday.

        13. PROTECT YOURSELF – DRUG AWARENESS

KNOW WHY YOU DO NOT TAKE ANY FOOD, DRINKS,
CANDIES, GIFTS OR RIDES FROM STRANGERS
In the news we often hear about young children who
are missing, having left home to go to School or on an
errand but not arriving. We also hear about children who
have been hurt by strangers who have offered them a ride
home in a car or have invited them to go somewhere.
Young people have also been given harmful drugs by
adults and also by School friends. These drugs can
damage your brain, which can affect you for the rest of
your life, or even kill you.

For these reasons, it is important that you should
obey your Parents and not accept food, drinks, candies,
gifts or rides from strangers. You should also avoid being
alone with someone who you, your Parents, or Akela do
        not know very well.
