FEI WEN YUAN [aka: LAO FEI WEN YUAN]
            Nanking Road, ShangHai
            circa 1896-1940

One of the so-called “Nine Factories” in Shanghai known originally as “Fei Wen Yuan Silver Store”. Contrary to
popular opinion and the publicity that abounds on the internet, the original Fei Wen Yuan retail and
manufacturing operations in Shanghai have no connection whatsoever to the modern-day company that trades
as Fei Wen Yuan and claims the company began in 1896. Fei Wen Yuan did commence at that date; no
connection, however, to Fei Wen Yuan today!
