A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS
18TH-19TH CENTURY
清十八/十九世紀 鎏金銅無量壽佛坐像
The fgure is cast seated in padmasana and holding a vase in his hands on a double lotus pedestal. He is
wearing a fve-leaf diadem and adorned with a long necklace, elaborate earrings, armlets, bracelets and
anklets. His face has a serene expression with downcast eyes and a gentle smile. The fgure is covered
overall in a rich gilding, while the unopened base is incised and parcel gilt with a double vajra.
