P. 158

We are on the Lord's side; Where the many toil together, there am I
Saviour, we are Thine. 2/4 among my own; Where the tired worker's
sleeping, there am I with Him alone.
        Verse 3
Fierce may be the conflict, I, the Peace that passes knowledge,
Strong may be the foe; But the King's own Dwell amid the daily strife; I, the Bread of
army None can overthrow. heaven, am broken in the sacrament of life.
                                                                2/3
        Round his standard ranging
Victory is secure; For His truth unchanging Verse 3
Makes the triumph sure. Every task, however simple, sets the soul that
does it free; Every deed of love and mercy
Joyfully enlisting, done to one, is done to me.
        By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord's side; No need anxiously to seek me,
Saviour, we are Thine. 3/4 I am with you everywhere, Raise the stone, and
you shall find me, cleave the wood and I am
        Verse 4 there. 3/3
