key accomplishments

-Network membership has increased to over 800 members, increased social media content across all major
platform

-Secured quality meeting space thanks to President Garry Round, Ryan ULC

-Introduced a leadership team and committee structure to assist in network operations and event planning

-Recruited dedicated volunteers and established operational areas of activity

-Received approval from MNP LLP to host the Annual Tax Update in 2018 at their Mississauga office

-Visit from CPA Canada to one of our network meetings

-A new member, an Internationally Trained Accountant, became an employee of Canada's second largest
bank, via one of our Employer Networking events

-Another new member, also internationally trained, was hired with our help by one of the leading global
tax services, within 2 months of arriving in Canada

-An undergraduate student member received a job offer from one of the largest full-service chartered
accountancy and business advisory firms in Canada

-Invited to be featured in September 2017 Edition of CPA Magazine

-Sourced several external meeting speakers and presenters

-Joined Professional Immigrant Networks (PINs), a program run by Toronto Region Immigrant
Employment Council (TRIEC)

-Member visits to Universities of Toronto, Wilfrid Laurier, McMasters, York. Ryerson to showcase our
network offering as part of the ICAAN program

-Collaborated with TD Bank to host a Finance and Accounting Career and Networking Event

-Members give back to the accounting profession and support CPA Ontario as PEP Board Report panel
members, facilitators, mentors, panelists, keynote speakers

-Contributed as Judges, Networkers and Keynote Speaker at Strive 2018 Conference, partly sponsored by
CPA Ontario
