Smoke inhalation can kill. Good air is usually close to the floor. If caught in
heavy smoke, stay low to the ground, take short breaths, and crawl if necessary.
Use a water-soaked cloth to breathe through.
Test closed doors that you come to by gently touching them with the back of
your hand. If they are hot, the fire is behind them. Do not open! Use another
route.
As you leave, help any disabled or injured persons.
Close doors around the fire area to help contain the fire.
In stairwells, stay to the right. Watch for Fire Department personnel coming up
stairwells to handle the emergency.
Do not go back to the area for any reason until the all clear signal is given.
IN case of any emergency, refer to your Client Manager or Security if possible
or call 911.
