                  METHODS

A randomized pilot study including 8, more than 20 years old, acral vitiligo
patients was performed at Chiangrai Prachanukroh hospital. Divided to 2 groups,

topical desoximetasone with liquid nitrogen group and topical desoximetasone
alone group. Clinical outcomes were evaluated by using the change of
depigmented area (cm2) after 8 weeks of treatment. The side effects were also

                 recorded.
                  RESULTS

Both groups were effective in decreasing depigmented area after 8 weeks
course of acral vitiligo treatment but no significant difference between 2 groups

(p value = 0.517). All side effects recorded were mild severity such as small
blister and pruritus. All patients could continue the 8 weeks course of treatment.
There were no significant differences in side effects between groups.

                 CONCLUSION AND DISCUSSION
Topical Desoximetasone with liquid nitrogen was an alternative treatment

for acral vitiligo. It was good results and less side effects. Although there were no
significant differences in efficacy compared with topical Desoximetasone alone,

we need further study that included more sample size and longer treatment
duration to detect the difference in outcome and long term side effects.
